The 115th  Nebraska Grain and Feed Association (NGF) Trade Show and Annual Meeting will be held on January 10, 2012, at the Kearney, Nebraska, Holiday Inn and Convention Center.  The Annual Meeting agenda is still being finalized, and is open and free to NGF members!

The Annual Meeting agenda will include Mick Anderson, Executive Director of the Great Plains Safety and Health Organization presenting Creating a Culture of Safety!  After the training is over and the videos are watched and the rules and regulations have all been addressed, how do you keep the employees motivated to make the right and safe decisions?  This presentation is designed specifically for your health and safety personnel to help you introduce a company culture and an ongoing commitment to workplace safety.    This session will go beyond the training to address what employers can do to instill a culture of safety in the workplace.  Don’t miss this MUST ATTEND health and safety session at 2:00 PM on the tradeshow floor!  (Open and free to NGF members, Lunch NOT included.)

The NGF annual tradeshow runs from 10:00 AM and throughout the day, ending with the NAC reception on the tradeshow floor.  We would encourage you or your employees to register and take advantage of the tradeshow program, and the lineup of NAC and NGF speakers.  LEMAR INDUSTRIES will present a major half hour presentation at 12:00 PM on January 10, on the NGF tradeshow floor on their high-capacity, heavy-duty drive-over conveyor, and other grain moving equipment.  The presentation is mostly geared to large grain operations, so we need as many NGF member company employees as possible to attend.  NGF members attending the Annual NGF Fumigation Certification And Recertification Workshop are encouraged to attend the noon LEMAR INDUSTRIES tradeshow presentation where lunch will be served.  There will be many other NGF associate members at the tradeshow, so please show your support and make a point of visiting all the exhibitors.

Included on the Ag Classic agenda will be a timely and informative presentation from members of the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) and Common Ground.  Forrest Roberts, CEO of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association will represent USFRA and a member of Common Ground will be present to talk about what work is being done to build consumer trust in today’s agriculture.  Tuesday evening attendees will be entertained with unique “Old West” stories from Joe Jeffrey.  Jeffrey will be presenting his fascinating and rib-tickling outlook on ordinary objects such as fence posts, outhouses and basic necessities like food.

Wednesday morning will bring an update on national agriculture policy with Ross Korves, Economic Policy Analyst with ProExporter Network.  Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with Korves on the latest issues affecting agriculture.  Mike Krueger,, will follow Korves with current updates and trends in marketing.
